9" wide slates were traditionally known as either 'Viscountesses' (18" x 9" slates) or 'Broad Ladies' (16" x 9" slates).
Each A4 sheet contains 16 strips, each 278mm long - pack of 4 sheets is sufficient to cover approximately 890cm² (which is 1,815 scale square feet).
